Performance in The Well

This Saturday night at The Well we kick off our 2010 season, and we hope you make it. In addition to great entertainment and a great cause, the Autism Foundation has now provided FOOD! I mean we have concessions before (the basic pop, candy, chips) but The Hope For Autism Foundation is providing a hot dog stand with chips, pop and bottled water. Just another way for our featured charity to make money to be sure but, taking this initiative "really" enhances our show. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and partial proceeds of all the performer's merchandise (8x10's, DVD's) and ticket sales will be going to the foundation as well.

The Well is a fantastic place and everyone here at Lamocu and all the performers are very excited to be there. Tickets again are $10 with each paid admission getting the $5 food coupon good only at the Howell Buffalo Wild Wings! We're stretching your entertainment dollar AND making you feel good about doing it but helping this worthy cause.

All systems seem to be in place, though the next two days have plenty of final details to attend to. Pictured here is Lauren Alm, our headliner for the evening and with her will be her special guest Jessica Protetch. Our own Guy Robertson will be getting the evening started followed by the power trio from Pinckney, City Limit. If you haven't yet, check out the links to My Space for both Lauren and City Limit and see what the excitement is all about. Guy...well someday he'll have internet and a My Space site...until then we'll have to be content with his smiling mug shot...:)

Now here's some exciting news. Marcy Hornsby-Mohr, one of the driving forces of this foundation was interviewed about this show two days ago on WHMI. The interview will be played again Friday and Saturday on the air. For more information on the Hope For Autism Foundation go to http://www.hopeforautismmi.wordpress.com/ or you can email Marcy at marcy@yisagency.com

The Well is located at 7191 Grand River and doors open at 7pm! Feel free to call for details. Until then, may the force be with you, keep you stick on the ice and stay tuned.

Year Kicks Off!

This Saturday, January 23rd, kicks off our concerts at The Well. Each month we will be showcasing local talent of all genres while trying to raise money for worthy causes. This month the cause is The Hope For Autism Foundation. To learn more about what this fine group http://www.hopeforautismmi.wordpress.com/ ; or, email Marcy Hornsby-Mohr, one of the founders at marcy@yisagency.com .

Performing this Saturday is some great local talent. For starters, our MC for the evening is the one and only Guy Robertson. Guy in addition to being a personal friend, is also a veteran in the world of live performances & open mic's. Guy will be opening the show with some of his originals, some classic covers and support anyone willing to take the challenge of the "open mic".

Guy Robertson, here pictured on the left.

After this, Guy will be bring out some wonderful young, local talent to perform. First there will be the threesome, City Limit from Pinckney High School. You have seen and read about these young men before and with good cause. Only high school Juniors, yet they perform like seasoned veterans! They "wowed" the crowd at the "Rockin' 4 Gleaners" show back on November 21st and hope to have DVD from that show on sale this Saturday. In fact a portion from all merchandise and concessions sold this Saturday will be going towards our featured charity this month, The Hope For Autism Foundation, in addition to proceeds from ticket sales.

Then our featured performer, all the way from Howell, Michigan...another name you have read and heard about,(especially from us)... Lauren Alm!

Lauren will be performing with her special guest Jessica Protetch. It all promises to be a night to remember, so come join us. Doors open at 7pm, show starts promptly at 8. Tickets are still just $10 for all this entertainment AND you still get the $5 off food coupon for Buffalo Wild Wings and now, your money helps fund a most deserving cause as well. Where can you go and get this much entertainment and the good feeling you're helping others? No where that we know of, so come on down to the Well this Saturday and spend some time with us.

Got to go now. If you have any questions about this Saturday or how YOUR performer or YOUR fund raising group can be part of all this, drop us a line or give us a call. Until our next posting, stay tuned.

2010 begins

Hello all. Sorry I have been away for so long. Hope everyone had great holidays and all. But I'm back now. Don't know how much I will be able to write today but at least I'm home now. I feel since Christmas Eve I've just been in a blur, stepping out once and awhile just to breathe "reality" air so to speak, but now the ending has arrived.

Tomorrow the big push for the 23rd begins. Take care of yourselves, keep you your stick on the ice and most of all...stay tuned.
