The Aftermath

Last Saturday night proved to be a success. Jordan Jones was outstanding as our MC, he made the evening. We did have seven outstanding up and coming young comics but it is an art to MC an event correctly. You have to entertain while at the same keeping the flow of the show running. Jordan Jones, a quality stand up in his own right and a pro in working a show!

Many thanks Jordan from Lamocu Productions and the Pinckney HS Football program.
Until next time...stay tuned!

Here at Lamocu Productions we are excited to announce our newest sponsor, Signs By Tomorrow! In future flyers you will see their logo along the side with The Well and Buffalo Wild Wings. We welcome Signs By Tomorrow to our family and look forward to a great future together!
Again our show on the 20th will feature elements from twentysomething.funnysomething and others MC'd by the very talented Jordan Jones. Tickets as always are $10, Pinckney HS faculty and students can get in for half price. Show begins at 8, doors open at 7. For advance tickets (drum roll please) go to the Event Brite link above!

We are also excited about the non computer literates in the office who figured out Event Brite today, this feature will add a lot to our operation; thank you Doug and Mel---now you can go back to your Clapton/Page debate.

Until later, stay tuned.

It's February!

Being February I guess you could say it's the half way point of winter here in Michigan. Though I guess the only reason you would be sitting around "thinking" that is because it's so darn cold your first thought was "how much longer will this last?" So let's settle on it being half way...whatever the groundhog saw or didn't see really doesn't matter.

The show for the Hope for Autism Foundation went well. We're looking at this being a great springboard for 2010. Our February 20th show will be a night of comedy raising funds for the Pinckney High School Football program.

Taking care of dad has occupied much of my time recently (if you follow my Facebook page you know that) so I am really thankful for the "pros" here at Lamocu and The Guild of Insightful Sounds that have been picking up the slack and seeing things through. I love you guys!

Our featured performer on the 20th will be the group twentysomething.funnysomethin with special MC, the talented Jordan Jones. Jordan has appeared at our Open Mic's in the past and we're very excited to have him with us again. There is more to MCing than people think, it's an art and much the way Guy Robertson knows how to deal with musicians, Jordan knows comedians. And, to be fair, Jordan is pretty good headliner himself. So don't miss this one.

More later, so stay tuned!

Great night of football.

Wow, it's been awhile since I felt this way...but tonight our JV team beat Hartland 44-15! For the first time in almost 10 years, the JV program at Pinckney is guaranteed a winning record and the first time since I have been with the program. I'm so proud of these young men, ...
but for now, on to some serious celebrating.

Oh yeah, there IS a show this Saturday at InSights, featuring the return of City Limit...but we're 5 and 2 with two games left. Tickets as usual will be $10 adults and $5 students and there will be a fund raiser for the Deshane foundation...but we're 5 and 2!

More later, so stay tuned!
