Jimmy Page and Stevie Ray Vaughn, just two examples of two Lead Guitarists that could front your Fantasy Band. Are they our two choices? Well that remains to be seen. But keep using your imagination on this one. Think of all the styles of music you like, think of the great riffs that you couldn't live without...come to think of it, THESE two DO inspire quite a bit of "imagination".

Ok, this is going to be a long post due to the fact that I feel the need to mention lots of people. To start my first pick MUST be Jimi Hendrix ! He truly reinvented the electric guitar not to mention that he was self taught or that he played left-handed and upside down.
ReplyDeleteNow comes the hard pick who would be the second lead in this band, I think most people would say Jimmy Page and at one time I would've said the same but I've been thinking about this for awhile now and feel the need to list some others that might fill those shoes. So here is the list,

any many more that I have missed or forgotten. All of these people would make or should I say did make "great" lead guitarist. Now I did not list these folks in any order nor do I prefer them in any order I enjoy all of them pretty much equally. But as for my picks I think I have to stay with Jimi being the number one lead and Frank Zappa for the number 2 spot. I know that many of you don't think he was a good guitarist because he was more known for his "silly or different" styles but if you ever got to see him in concert you would know he was not only "good" at guitar but that he was "Great"
